A hospital in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for an immediate 13-week contract starting June 2. This role focuses on supporting the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units, working day shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on an every-other-week schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services within the CV ICU and Medical ICU2
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize critical care medication therapy
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate documentation and medication management
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards for trauma and critical care patients

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent clinical pharmacist experience, with prior Level 1 trauma experience required
  • PGY-2 residency highly preferred but not mandatory
  • Active Louisiana pharmacist license in-hand
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required
  • Board certification preferred, though not required
  • Willingness to work days, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., every other week
  • Open to first-time travel pharmacists eager to expand their critical care expertise
