Clinical Pharmacist in Kenner, LA

Play a vital role in delivering exceptional critical care as a Clinical Pharmacist at a prominent hospital in the New Orleans area. This 13-week contract position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic clinical setting, supporting patients in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2.

Location: Metairie, LA (New Orleans area)
Schedule:

• Day shift: 7 AM to 3 PM
• Every other week (EOW) schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in critical care environments, including CV ICU and Medical ICU2
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy for trauma and critically ill patients
• Utilize EPIC EMR system effectively for patient care documentation and medication management
• Ensure safety and efficacy in pharmacological treatments while adhering to hospital protocols

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist, with Level 1 trauma experience required
• PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory
• Louisiana pharmacy license in-hand
• Board certification is a plus
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR system required
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists
