Clinical Pharmacist - Kenner, LA

A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to support its critical care units during a 13-week contract assignment. This opportunity offers a meaningful role within a busy hospital setting, providing specialized pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients.

Location: Metairie, LA (New Orleans area)
Duration: 13 weeks, starting June 2
Shift: Days, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., every other week schedule (EOW)

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services within the Cardiovascular ICU (CV ICU) and Medical ICU2 units
• Collaborate closely with medical teams to optimize pharmacologic therapy for trauma and critically ill patients
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records efficiently to document and manage patient care plans
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Level 1 trauma or critical care setting
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (required)
• PGY-2 residency in critical care pharmacy is highly preferred but not required
• Board certification in critical care pharmacy is a plus, though not mandatory
• Willingness to accept first-time travel pharmacists
