Clinical Pharmacist in Kenner, LA

A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position. This contract offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with a focus on cardiovascular and medical intensive care units.

Location:

• Near Kenner, LA (East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie)

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for critically ill patients
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system to document and manage patient care
• Participate in medication regimen reviews, clinical rounds, and interventions pertinent to critical care

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist with Level 1 trauma exposure required
• PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory
• Valid Louisiana pharmacist license (in-hand)
• Board Certification in Pharmacy Practice or Critical Care preferred, but not required
• Ability to work with EPIC EMR system is essential
