A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking two experienced clinical pharmacists for a 13-week contract to hire assignment focused on sterile and non-sterile compounding. This role involves preparing personalized pharmaceutical compounds tailored to individual patient needs while ensuring compliance with rigorous state and federal regulations.

Location: Kennett Square, PA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy and compliance of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations according to master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies aligned with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
  • Perform proper aseptic techniques, including cleaning and garbing protocols.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment safely and accurately.
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections to guarantee the quality, purity, and potency of compounded medications.
  • Provide support and guidance to prescription dispensing personnel during shifts.
  • Stay current with new compounding methods, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.
  • Deliver patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.
  • Maintain excellent attendance as it is critical for the client.

Qualifications:

  • Active PA Pharmacist license required.
  • Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding.
  • Familiarity with USP regulations and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
