A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA seeks a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is critical to the operation, ensuring the precise preparation of bespoke pharmaceutical compounds tailored to individual patient needs. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to regulatory standards for both sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the preparation of compounded sterile and non-sterile medications to ensure accuracy and compliance with master formula worksheets.
- Implementing and following SOPs and company policies to maintain patient safety and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensuring full compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
- Performing cleaning and garbing procedures according to company protocols.
- Conducting necessary calculations, thorough documentation, and operation of production equipment.
- Applying appropriate aseptic techniques and preparing production areas prior to work.
- Operating and monitoring computerized equipment to maintain quality standards.
- Conducting quality control tests and inspections to verify compounded medication accuracy.
- Staying informed on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
- Engaging in continuous professional development related to compounding pharmacy practices.
Schedule options include Monday through Friday with shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a possible 10:30 am to 7:00 pm shift after training.
Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist licensure.
- Experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding environments.
- Strong knowledge of USP compounding standards and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively under supervision and provide patient counseling.
- Reliable attendance is essential.
