This opportunity is critical for a skilled clinical pharmacist with expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding, specializing in bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. The role is based in Kennett Square, PA, within a specialty compounding pharmacy renowned for personalized compounds.

You will work under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, collaborating with Sterile and Non-Sterile Production teams to ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines. Accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to SOPs are vital to providing safe, effective compounded medications. Patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications are also key components of this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Validating and ensuring accuracy in compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations per master formula worksheets
  • Enforcing and following all SOPs and policies for safe compounding practices
  • Maintaining compliance with cleaning, garbing, and aseptic technique policies
  • Performing calculations, documenting processes, and operating production equipment correctly
  • Conducting quality control tests and inspections to uphold medication quality, purity, and potency
  • Staying current with emerging compounding techniques, formulations, and pharmacy technologies
  • Assisting prescription dispensing personnel during shifts to ensure proper preparation techniques

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm OR 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • Monday – Friday, 10:30 am – 7:00 pm (this shift may be assigned after training)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active PA Pharmacist license
  • Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding
  • Commitment to consistent attendance—a crucial factor for success in this role
