A specialty compounding pharmacy seeks a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding to join their team on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This role is critical to ensure patient safety through precise pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with state and federal regulations for sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, supporting prescription dispensing operations, and providing patient counseling on compounded and other medications. You will be expected to adhere strictly to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines, perform accurate calculations, operate production equipment, and maintain aseptic techniques and clean work environments. Quality control testing and documentation are vital parts of ensuring the purity, potency, and accuracy of all compounded preparations.

This position demands excellent attendance and reliability due to the critical nature of the work. You will work under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor and collaborate closely with sterile and non-sterile production teams.

Shift options include:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned after training)

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
  • Recent pharmacy experience with a focus on sterile compounding
  • Strong understanding of USP compounding standards (<795>, <797>, <800>)
  • Thorough knowledge of aseptic techniques and pharmacy operations
  • Commitment to quality control and compliance
