A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist role is available in a dynamic home infusion setting in Seattle, WA. This temp-to-hire position begins with a 13-week assignment and offers the opportunity to apply specialized clinical pharmacy skills in a patient-centered environment. The role focuses on ensuring optimal medication management and therapeutic outcomes for patients receiving infusion therapies.
Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and regulatory compliance. You will provide clinical oversight on a variety of infusion therapies, including specialty medications, biologics, antimicrobials, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and compounded sterile preparations. Assessing patient-specific therapy plans and monitoring treatment outcomes are essential to optimizing effectiveness. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is vital to recommend therapy adjustments and ensure safe, effective medication use. Additionally, adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies is required.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Washington State with a clear and active license
- Minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience, with home infusion experience highly preferred
- Strong clinical background including inpatient, IV therapy, TPN, vancomycin, biologics, and sterile compounding
- Experience working with complex or rare disease states a significant advantage
- Local to the Seattle, WA area or willing to relocate
