A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Kernersville, NC, offering a temp-to-hire position with a focus on compounding pharmacy. This role provides the chance to work within a collaborative healthcare environment, delivering specialized pharmaceutical care through the preparation and dispensing of compounded medications.
Schedule and Hours:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Hours between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch breaks
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to tailor patient care.
- Prepare and dispense both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and oversee inventory management.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to enhance patient health outcomes.
- Assist in training and supervising pharmacy technician staff.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina.
- 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience; new graduates passionate about compounding are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards related to compounding.
- Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing.
- Experience or willingness to learn pharmacy software similar to QS1 (training provided).
This position involves a moderate prescription volume, averaging 78 compounded prescriptions daily, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
