This role focuses on delivering expert pharmaceutical care with an emphasis on chemotherapy and oncology, requiring a licensed California pharmacist with approximately one year of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and oversight
- Collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to optimize patient medication regimens
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to personalize patient therapy, especially in oncology cases
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for managing patient and medication data
- Work a consistent schedule of four 10-hour day shifts per week
Qualifications:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Approximately one year of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably with oncology/chemotherapy exposure
- Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems
- Full-time availability, able to commit to scheduled shifts
