Clinical Pharmacist | Kittanning, Pennsylvania

This role offers an opportunity to contribute as a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care, supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice services in Kittanning, PA. The assignment is for one month with the possibility of extension, providing a focused and dynamic work experience.

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy operating hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Sunday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders processed by data entry technicians for various long-term care settings
• Check packaged blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile medications
• Respond to clinical inquiries and communicate with nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
• Count controlled substances and maintain accurate perpetual inventory records
• Inspect and verify emergency medication boxes to ensure compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience, with Long Term Care experience preferred
• Physical ability to perform duties including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds
• Familiarity with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems is highly desirable
