Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist in Kittanning, PA

A part-time opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in long term care, offering 24 hours per week with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday between 8 am and 6 pm. This position is based in Kittanning, PA, and is ideal for pharmacists with experience in skilled nursing, personal care facilities, or hospice care.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various care settings, reviewing blister-packed and both sterile and non-sterile medications, and responding to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians. The role also involves counting controlled substances, documenting inventory accurately, and checking emergency medication boxes to ensure compliance and safety.

Systems used in this role include QS1, Docutrack, and PCC, providing a robust platform for pharmacy operations and recordkeeping. The assignment is initially set for one month with the possibility of extension, offering a consistent and engaging work schedule.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Licensed and registered pharmacist in good standing within Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacist, preferably in long term care.
• Physical ability to perform job duties including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
