Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist - Kittanning, PA

A per diem pharmacist position is available for a clinical pharmacist specializing in long-term care services. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week and is based in Kittanning, PA, with an assignment timeline of one month ongoing and a possibility for extension.

Schedule:

• 24 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice.
• Inspect blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations.
• Address clinical inquiries by responding to phone calls from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians.
• Manage controlled substance counts and maintain perpetual inventory documentation.
• Verify emergency medication boxes to ensure proper stocking and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, preferably in long-term care settings
• Demonstrated physical ability to sit, stand, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity; able to lift up to 30 pounds

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems
