Clinical Pharmacist - Laguna Hills, California

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a medical center in Laguna Hills, California, supporting inpatient pharmacy operations on a contract basis. This 13-week role begins on May 11 and involves working a variety of shifts with a focus on operational efficiency and clinical support.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily workflow to ensure timely medication verification and dispensing
• Collaborating with clinical teams to support patient care through medication management
• Performing clinical rounding where applicable, leveraging previous residency or PGY-1 experience
• Utilizing EPIC electronic medical records for accurate documentation and communication

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program; PGY-1 strongly preferred
• Familiarity with clinical rounding practices and hospital pharmacy operations
• Ability to efficiently manage a mix of tasks during shifts varying in start times
• Adaptability to rotating weekend schedules

Shift Details:

• Mix of day and evening shifts
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Start times may include 6:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, or 1:30 pm
• Rotating weekend coverage required
