Clinical Pharmacist | Lakewood, New Jersey

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in inpatient operations. This role involves balancing both clinical and operational responsibilities to ensure safe and effective medication management within a hospital setting. The position is a 13-week contract located in Lakewood, NJ, with shifts scheduled for evenings from 3 PM to 11 PM on an every-other-week basis. The start date is flexible, beginning either April 27 or May 4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders accurately.
• Prepare sterile and hazardous medications in compliance with USP standards.
• Manage controlled substances with adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct medication histories, reconciliation, and provide patient education.
• Perform clinical interventions and monitor drug therapies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide drug information support to healthcare teams and patients.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum of one year recent experience in inpatient pharmacy practice.
• Familiarity with Pyxis and carousel medication dispensing technology preferred but not mandatory.
• Licensed pharmacist with an active New Jersey state license.
• Fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 booster.
• Open to first-time travel pharmacists with appropriate credentials.
