A leading specialty pharmacy in Las Vegas, NV is seeking two experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacists for immediate placement on an 8-10 week contract. This opportunity offers a fast start and a dynamic work environment focusing on specialty therapies and infusion services.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call rotation on weekends
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Nevada Pharmacist License (required)
- BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Specialty, infusion, or compounding pharmacy background (retail-only experience not accepted)
- 1-2 years of experience in specialty, infusion, hospital, or comparable pharmacy settings preferred
- Understanding of specialty medication therapies, patient qualification processes, and payer requirements
- Experience supervising or collaborating closely with pharmacy technicians
- Familiarity with CareTend software (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, and ACHC
- Provide expert patient counseling and manage medication therapy for specialty disease states
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure high-quality operations
- Collaborate with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to facilitate efficient patient onboarding and prescription fulfillment
- Maintain pharmacy records, support quality assurance, and resolve incidents promptly
- Participate in weekend on-call rotations as scheduled
