Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Lawrenceville, Georgia

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with infusion expertise, offering a 13-week contract assignment in the greater Atlanta area.

Location:

• Lawrenceville, GA

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts Monday to Friday
• Options include 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
• Ensure medication supply and prescriptions comply with legal standards
• Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files
• Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, and answer queries
• Compound medications, prepare sterile solutions following established protocols
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring competency particularly in sterile compounding procedures
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify drug-related issues and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare practitioners
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of sterile compounding areas
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards in collaboration with pharmacy team

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Georgia pharmacist license required
• Prior IV/Infusion pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding practices and standards
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills

This contract role requires a candidate who can start by late April or early May and is flexible to work either of the specified shifts. Immediate consideration is encouraged due to slow client contract updates and the urgent need for local candidates.
