Pharmacist Clinical | Lewistown, Pennsylvania

This permanent position offers a unique opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to enhance their expertise by working across multiple units, including the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and participating in the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists might be assigned to only one floor, this role allows for diverse clinical experiences and professional growth.

Located in a beautiful area near State College, PA—home to Penn State University—this role also provides relocation assistance for qualified candidates. Candidates without a Pennsylvania license are encouraged to apply, with support available to obtain one.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and verify medication orders and review medication profiles for appropriateness
• Provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings as assigned
• Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist consults following protocol
• Engage in acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma within ED and critical care settings

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required
• Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years of clinical experience
• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or eligibility to become licensed

Location:

• State College, PA

Schedule:

• Primarily day shifts, 8-hour shifts with some variable days or afternoons

Technology:

• Experience with Meditech is preferred
