A leading healthcare facility in State College, PA, invites applications for Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacists to join their multidisciplinary team. This permanent role offers a unique chance to advance clinical expertise by working across Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and the antibiotic stewardship team, providing a diverse and dynamic work environment rarely experienced in larger hospitals where pharmacists often focus on a single unit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Medication order entry and verification, reviewing profiles for appropriateness, and providing clinical services tailored to patient needs.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conducting drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults following established protocols.
  • Engaging actively in acute patient scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma cases within the ED and critical care settings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • PGY1 residency completion or at least three years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Candidates without a PA license on hand are encouraged to apply; support for licensure acquisition is available.
  • Out-of-state applicants are welcome, and relocation assistance may be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule & Location:

  • Primarily day shifts with some variable days/afternoons.
  • Eight-hour shift structure.
