A permanent opportunity is available for a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to expand and refine clinical expertise in both Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers the unique chance to collaborate on the antibiotic stewardship team, providing diverse clinical experiences beyond a single specialty floor.

Situated in a vibrant college town known for its strong community and excellent quality of life, this position supports relocation and welcomes candidates without a current Pennsylvania license, with assistance to obtain licensure as needed. The facility utilizes Meditech for electronic health records and maintains flexible scheduling with mostly day shifts in 8-hour blocks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Entering and verifying medication orders while reviewing profiles for clinical appropriateness.
  • Delivering direct clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient needs in ED and CCU.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and contributing to care planning.
  • Monitoring drug therapy and managing consults according to established protocols.
  • Actively engaging in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited program.
  • PGY1 residency completed or a minimum of three years’ recent clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience or interest in acute care settings including ED and critical care preferred.
