This direct hire opportunity offers a Clinical Pharmacist role within a 359-bed, nationally recognized pediatric teaching hospital. As the only pediatric medical center in Arkansas and one of the largest pediatric providers in the country, the facility prides itself on a progressive, team-based culture that supports high-quality patient care and professional growth.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, 8-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Located in Little Rock, AR
- Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities:
- Compound and dispense medications accurately according to physician orders
- Consult with medical staff on drug interactions, patient history, and medication use
- Provide medication counseling to patients and caregivers
- Verify dosing appropriateness based on pediatric-specific factors (weight, age, diagnosis)
- Identify and intervene in drug therapy problems, including allergies and adverse reactions
- Evaluate and recommend drug therapies, including non-formulary alternatives
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital pharmacy standards and documentation
- Participate in patient education, staff training, and discharge planning
- Manage medication orders and inventory, including coordination with suppliers and managers
- Support drug information requests and drug utilization review activities
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Arkansas
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- IV experience or IV Certification highly favored
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred
- New graduates with strong clinical interest encouraged to apply
