This inpatient pharmacist opportunity offers a chance to work within a large, respected county health system serving diverse patient populations. The role primarily supports inpatient pharmacy services at a major medical center with a focus on clinical pharmacy practice. Candidates with PGY1 residency training or approximately two years of current inpatient experience are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy support to inpatient units, including medication dispensing, verification, and clinical interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy and ensure safe, effective medication use
- Participate in medication-related committees and quality improvement initiatives as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of care
- Complete a competency examination to demonstrate clinical proficiency prior to starting
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current pharmacist licensure and eligibility to work within the state
- PGY1 residency training strongly preferred; all qualified candidates with inpatient experience considered
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an acute care or hospital inpatient setting
- Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible 8-hour shifts covering primarily first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be required
- Commitment to patient safety, continuous learning, and teamwork

- 8-hour shifts with shift flexibility required (primarily 1st and 2nd shifts)
