Clinical Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for a contract assignment supporting outpatient oncology infusion services in the Los Angeles area. This role focuses on verifying IV medications with an emphasis on chemotherapy, requiring solid oncology pharmacy experience in a clinical setting.

Location:

• Various sites throughout the Los Angeles metro area with deployment details to be finalized

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Check and verify intravenous medication preparations including chemotherapy regimens
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling standards
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support safe and effective outpatient oncology infusion services
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for medication verification and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist licensure and credentials
• Solid clinical experience in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy
• Comprehensive knowledge of intravenous medication preparation and verification processes
• Strong familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines and best practices
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center environment
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
