Clinical Pharmacist in Long Beach, CA

This full-time, on-site clinical pharmacist position offers the opportunity to provide expert clinical and dispensing services focused on infusion and specialty medications, supporting patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, conducting clinical assessments, and ensuring appropriate medication selection and dosing in line with evidence-based guidelines. You will prepare and check compounded sterile products, collaborate closely with prescribers and nursing staff to optimize therapy plans, and counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence. The role also requires coordination of treatment logistics within the pharmacy team, managing medication inventories, thorough documentation of clinical interventions, and contributing to quality assurance, safety, and compliance efforts. Serving as a valuable clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals is a key facet of this position.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent and a current, unrestricted pharmacist license in California
• Proficiency in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations in compliance with USP and state/federal regulations
• Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or hospital/clinical pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with insurance prior authorization, specialty medication reimbursement, and patient assistance programs is advantageous
• Strong clinical judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication to patient safety and quality care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient counseling
• Specialty focus in neurology and oncology infusion therapies
• Experience using CareTend system
