Clinical Pharmacist | Long Beach, California

A healthcare organization in Long Beach, CA, is seeking experienced clinical pharmacists for contract roles with the option to eventually transition to a permanent position. This large health system operates numerous ambulatory care/outpatient clinics and several hospitals, requiring skilled pharmacists to support pharmacy operations and patient care.

Schedule:

• Variable days/afternoons
• Four 10-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and ambulatory care settings
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety
• Support operational needs in pharmacy departments to maintain efficient workflows

Qualifications:

• PGY1 residency preferred or approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
• Ability to successfully pass a competency exam on the first attempt
• Completion of Livescan background check and onboarding process (4–6 weeks)
• Professionalism and readiness to integrate into a large, unionized healthcare system
