A dynamic opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with strong inpatient pharmacy experience at a major Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital. This contract position is designed for highly qualified candidates, ideally those with a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency or approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy practice. The role supports a large health system known for its outpatient clinics and hospital network, offering exposure to diverse clinical settings and patient populations.

Job Type: Contract (temporary with temp-to-hire potential)
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexible availability required for first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be necessary
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services within the inpatient setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy
- Ensure safe and effective medication distribution and management
- Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications:
- PGY1 residency strongly preferred; all well-qualified candidates with inpatient experience will be considered
- Approximately two or more years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Valid pharmacist license and current certification as required
- Ability to pass a competency exam (one attempt only)
- Successful completion of a background (Livescan) check
