A leading inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available within a prominent Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital. Job Type: Contract, with a temp-to-hire track
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility required to work primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient units, ensuring safe and effective medication management
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
- Participate in rounds and provide drug information and consultation
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare for and successfully pass a competency exam as part of the onboarding process
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with active licensure in California
- PGY1 residency preferred; alternatively, at least two years of current inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
