A healthcare system in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Pharmacist with chemotherapy experience to support inpatient and outpatient oncology services. This role involves working closely within a large hospital environment, managing medication therapy for oncology patients across multiple settings. Responsibilities include:
- Dispensing and reviewing chemotherapy and other oncologic medications for inpatients and outpatients
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Monitoring patient responses and managing adverse effects related to chemotherapy
- Participating in clinical rounds and patient education
- Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- Current pharmacist licensure with 2+ years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy practice
- Preferred candidates include those with PGY1 residency training or equivalent experience
- Ability to pass a competency examination as part of the onboarding process
- Willingness to undergo Livescan background check and meet health system onboarding requirements
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
