A well-established outpatient oncology infusion site is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist for a night shift role in the Los Angeles area. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to a leading healthcare team's efforts in providing expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include verifying intravenous medication orders with a strong emphasis on chemotherapy protocols. The ideal candidate will possess extensive IV preparation experience and a robust understanding of USP 797 and USP 800 standards to ensure patient safety and compliance. Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records is essential for accurate documentation and communication.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, midnight to 9:00 AM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials to practice
  • Proven experience in oncology pharmacy, specifically chemotherapy preparation and verification
  • Strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling standards
  • Competence in intravenous admixture preparation and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with meticulous attention to detail
