A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available focusing on outpatient oncology infusion services in the Los Angeles area. This contract position involves working closely with oncology teams to ensure safe and accurate preparation and dispensation of chemotherapy and related intravenous treatments. The role requires immediate availability, with a commitment of 13 weeks or longer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and check intravenous (IV) medication orders, with an emphasis on chemotherapy agents
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and 800 standards related to sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription queries and ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and order review
• Support a high-volume outpatient oncology infusion service across multiple sites

Qualifications and Experience:

• Pharmacist licensure in good standing
• Solid hands-on experience with chemotherapy and oncology pharmacotherapy
• Thorough understanding of USP 797/800 regulations and sterile compounding procedures
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (day shift)
