A clinical pharmacist position is available to support outpatient oncology infusion services in the Los Angeles area. This role focuses on verifying intravenous medications in a fast-paced oncology setting, requiring a solid background in chemotherapy and IV preparation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and check IV medications, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Apply strong knowledge of USP 797 and USP 800 standards in compounding sterile preparations
- Collaborate with the oncology care team to support patient treatment plans
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and workflow management
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with validated clinical experience
- Proven expertise in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy operations
- Solid understanding of USP 797/800 guidelines related to sterile compounding
- Experience in outpatient infusion settings preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM shifts
Location:
- Various sites across the Los Angeles metropolitan area
This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks or longer with a start date as soon as possible. Candidates must be flexible with site assignment within the LA area and thrive in a clinical oncology infusion setting.
