A clinical pharmacist role is available in the Los Angeles area, supporting a healthcare facility with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients. This position offers a contract opportunity with an initial commitment of approximately eight weeks and potential month-to-month extensions based on mutual agreement.

Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with nurses and physicians, and managing pharmacokinetics-related tasks. The pharmacist will utilize the Paragon/Allscripts order entry systems and work with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets to support medication distribution and safety.

Candidates must be adaptable to varying weekly hours, with some weeks requiring approximately 16 hours and others up to 40 hours. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the fluctuating demands of the facility. Additionally, there may be a need to float between sister hospitals within a 10 to 15-mile radius of Norwalk, enhancing exposure to diverse clinical environments.
