Clinical Pharmacist - Los Angeles, CA

This opportunity is designed for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist with a strong background in sterile compounding and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) management. In this clinical role, you will directly impact patient care by managing TPN patients, providing thorough medication counseling, and collaborating closely with dietitians, physicians, and pharmacy staff. This position emphasizes clinical expertise over production tasks and allows you to demonstrate leadership in a dynamic environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full Time, Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

• Clinically manage and monitor patients receiving TPN therapy, ensuring optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with dietitians, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Review TPN formulations, laboratory results, and therapy progress; provide clinical recommendations especially during patient discharge
• Deliver patient counseling and education related to medications and infusion therapy
• Oversee sterile compounding processes as needed, ensuring strict compliance with USP <797> standards
• Serve as a clinical resource and lead pharmacy-related initiatives
• Communicate effectively with diverse clinical and non-clinical teams to foster a collaborative environment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of recent, substantive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on sterile compounding
• Proficient in managing TPN patients and therapy
• Strong experience working alongside dietitians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license required
• Licensed or willing to promptly obtain Pharmacy licenses in Mississippi (MS) and Alabama (AL)
• In-depth knowledge of USP <797> sterile pharmacy guidelines
• Home infusion experience highly preferred
• Exceptional emotional intelligence, leadership ability, and communication skills to engage effectively with patients, providers, and staff
• Demonstrated maturity, clinical judgment, and professionalism
