Clinical Pharmacist | Lubbock, Texas

This opportunity calls for a clinical pharmacist experienced in inpatient care to support a 500-bed hospital with specialized units including a 42-bed NICU and a 14-bed Pediatric ICU. The role is based in Lubbock, TX, providing critical pharmacy services during night shifts within a reputable healthcare setting that recently transitioned to the EPIC system.

Schedule:

• 7 nights on, 7 nights off (Wednesday through Tuesday rotation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the distribution and proper use of medications within the inpatient setting
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records for medication management and patient monitoring
• Support specialized care areas including neonatal and pediatric intensive care units with tailored pharmacotherapy

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with EPIC system is highly preferred, especially candidates who have worked with the platform post-conversion from Cerner
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic hospital environment and manage a diverse patient population
