Provide critical inpatient pharmacy services at a leading hospital facility in Madison, WI through a 13-week contract starting on May 11. This role involves a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an acute inpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services including pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and therapeutic medication monitoring.
- Manage pharmacotherapy for complex medical conditions and address drug shortages effectively.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system to document patient care and medication management.
- Collaborate with the inpatient care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in inpatient or acute care pharmacy.
- Proficiency in pharmacokinetic and renal dosing.
- Strong skills in therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacotherapy management.
- Familiarity with drug shortage management strategies.
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacy license or an ACT-10 license (accepted).
Schedule/Hours:
- Work five 8-hour shifts weekly.
- Shifts alternate between days (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and evenings (2:30 PM–11:00 PM).
- Rotating every third weekend.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be willing to shave for fit testing, as masks are required—no CAPRs or PAPRs allowed.
- Scrubs will be provided upon starting.
