An opportunity is available for experienced inpatient pharmacists to support acute care services at a well-established hospital facility in Madison, WI. This contract position spans 13 weeks, beginning May 11, offering a dynamic work environment with a focus on comprehensive pharmacotherapy management and patient-centered clinical care.

Location:

  • Madison, WI

Schedule:

  • 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
  • Rotating shifts alternating every third weekend
  • Mix of day (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and evening (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient acute care setting
  • Utilize expertise in pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments
  • Conduct therapeutic medication monitoring and manage drug shortages
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for complex medical conditions
  • Document care and communicate effectively through EPIC electronic medical records

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency with acute care pharmacotherapy principles
  • Capable of performing pharmacokinetic and renal dosing tasks
  • Able to manage therapeutic drug monitoring and drug shortage issues
  • Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin; ACT-10 licensing accepted

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be comfortable shaving for mask fit testing as PAPRs and CAPRs are not provided and outside devices are not permitted
  • Scrubs will be supplied upon start date
  • Only candidates willing to travel and located more than 70 miles from Madison will be considered
