A healthcare facility in Madison, WI is seeking three clinical pharmacists to support their inpatient care team on a 13-week contract starting June 29. This opportunity offers shifts that provide comprehensive exposure to acute care pharmacy practice and a chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Schedule and Shift Details:
- One Day Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- One Mid Shift: 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- One Evening Shift: 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Work schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts per week, rotating every third weekend
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacotherapy for medical patients in an inpatient/acute care setting
- Perform pharmacokinetic and renal dosing adjustments
- Conduct therapeutic medication monitoring and manage drug shortages appropriately
- Utilize EPIC EMR system efficiently for documentation and patient care coordination
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience required
- Experience in pharmacotherapy management, therapeutic drug monitoring, and dose adjustment
- Active Pharmacy license for Wisconsin; ACT-10 license holders are eligible
- Compliance with mask fit-testing protocols is mandatory; facial hair must be shaved to ensure mask seal (CAPRs and PAPRs are not permitted)
Additional Information:
- Scrubs will be provided upon starting assignment
- Strict adherence to facility PPE policies is required; failure to comply with fit-testing guidelines will result in cancellation of assignment
