A leading healthcare provider in the greater Atlanta area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist specialized in IV/Infusion for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role requires a motivated and detail-oriented pharmacist licensed in Georgia, ready to support patient care and medication management in an infusion setting.

Location: Marietta, GA (with work at a nearby infusion center in Duluth)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting late April or early May
Schedule: Flexible shifts Monday through Friday, with options of 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of overuse
  • Ensure all medications comply with legal regulations and are appropriate for patient use
  • Maintain confidential patient records with precision
  • Provide detailed consultation to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, storage, and interactions
  • Compound sterile medications and prepare IV solutions according to established protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring competency and adherence to procedures
  • Oversee sterile compounding area maintenance, cleaning, and compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related problems

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a current Georgia pharmacy license
  • Strong preference for candidates with prior IV/Infusion pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and maintain high standards in sterile compounding
  • Excellent communication skills for patient and team interactions
