Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Marksville, Louisiana

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200+ bed community hospital located in Alexandria, LA. This contract position begins ASAP and lasts approximately 13 weeks, providing an excellent chance to apply your clinical expertise in a supportive healthcare environment.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule varying between 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with precision to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize pharmacokinetic principles for individualized patient care
• Navigate IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for efficient order management and documentation

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with clinical experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
