A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist specializing in transplant at a hospital near New Orleans, LA. This role involves supporting transplant patients with a focus on solid organ pharmacotherapy and clinical interventions.
Location: Near New Orleans, LA (Marrero area)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: June 2
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, including weekend rotation
EMR System: EPIC (required)
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services within a transplant and critical care setting
- Collaborate with medical teams to optimize medication therapy for transplant patients
- Monitor drug usage and ensure safe, effective pharmacological treatment plans
- Participate in weekend rotations as part of the dedicated care team
- Document interventions and maintain accurate clinical records in EPIC
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- At least 1 year of transplant pharmacy experience, preferably PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant or PGY-1 with transplant support exposure
- Current pharmacist license for Louisiana in hand
- Board certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices in the hospital and emergency room environment
- Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
