A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist specializing in transplant for a 13-week contract beginning early June. This role focuses on providing clinical pharmacy expertise within a hospital setting, supporting transplant patients and solid organ transplant protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical pharmacy support for transplant and critical care patients in the Emergency Room and hospital.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for complex cases.
  • Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC, to manage patient records and ensure accurate medication administration.
  • Participate in weekend rotations, maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of transplant pharmacy experience.
  • PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant training preferred; consideration given to candidates with PGY-1 plus transplant support experience.
  • Current Louisiana pharmacist license required.
  • Board Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record system.

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Weekend rotation required.
