This per diem opportunity is for a Part-Time Long Term Care Pharmacist to work approximately 24 hours per week, supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care homes, and hospice services. The assignment is ongoing for at least one month with possible extension.
Schedule:
- 24 hours per week
- Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify pharmacy orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings
- Check blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
- Manage count and documentation of controlled substances in perpetual inventory
- Review and replenish emergency medication boxes as needed
- Utilize pharmacy software systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed and registered pharmacist in good standing within Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, preferably in Long Term Care
- Physical ability for sitting, standing, fine motor tasks, and visual acuity; ability to lift up to 30 pounds
