Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist - Mckeesport, Pennsylvania

A part-time long-term care pharmacist role is available, offering 24 hours per week with an initial one-month assignment and potential for extension. This position supports skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice settings through detailed order review and medication verification.

Location: McKeesport, PA
Schedule:

• 24 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for accuracy and compliance
• Check blister-packed medications and both sterile and non-sterile medications
• Answer clinical inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians
• Count controlled substances and maintain perpetual inventory documentation
• Inspect emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Registered pharmacist licensed and in good standing in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to sit, stand, and demonstrate fine motor skills with good visual acuity
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Technical Skills:

• Experience with pharmacy systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC preferred
