Emergency Room Hospital Pharmacist Clinical | Metairie, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA, is seeking a skilled Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract beginning June 2nd. This daytime role, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. including weekend rotations, is focused on transplant and clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will bring specialized expertise in solid organ transplant pharmacotherapy and be comfortable working with complex patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services in critical care and transplant units.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy.
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC) effectively to document and manage patient care.
• Support transplant patient management with evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
• Participate in weekend shifts as part of rotation.

Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license (in-hand required).
• Minimum one year of transplant experience preferred; PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant training highly desirable.
• PGY-1 with transplant support experience considered.
• Board Certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records system.
