A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking two Transplant/Clinical Pharmacist Specialists for a 13-week contract position. This role offers an opportunity to apply specialized clinical knowledge in transplant pharmacotherapy within a dynamic hospital setting. The assignment starts on Monday, May 4, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and includes a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services specializing in solid organ transplant pharmacotherapy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation and communication
  • Support medication management and patient education in transplant care
  • Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year transplant experience required
  • PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant residency preferred; candidates with PGY-1 residency plus transplant support experience will be considered
  • Active Louisiana pharmacist license
  • Board certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system is required

Schedule:

  • Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Weekend rotation
