Clinical Pharmacist - Metairie, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking two Transplant/Clinical Pharmacist Specialists for a 13-week contract assignment starting Monday, May 4th. This opportunity offers the chance to support transplant patient care within a dynamic clinical environment, working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with weekend rotation.

Schedule:

• Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy support for solid organ transplant patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and order verification.
• Monitor drug therapy and assist in managing complex transplant protocols.
• Educate healthcare professionals and patients on transplant pharmacotherapy best practices.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of transplant pharmacy experience.
• PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant residency preferred; however, PGY-1 residency with solid transplant support experience will be considered.
• Active Louisiana pharmacist license required.
• Board certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system is required.
