Clinical Pharmacist in Metairie, LA

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Critical Care for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role is integral to supporting the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2 units by delivering expert pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients.

Schedule / Hours:

• Days, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other week (EOW) rotation

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services focusing on critical care patients in Level 1 trauma settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and medication management.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and safety standards.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent critical care/clinical pharmacist experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center.
• PGY-2 residency training highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Active Louisiana pharmacist license is required.
• Board certification in pharmacotherapy or critical care is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment.
• First-time travel pharmacists are welcome to apply.
