Clinical Pharmacist - Metairie, LA

A healthcare facility in Metairie, LA is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center providing specialized care in cardiovascular and medical intensive care units.

Responsibilities include providing clinical pharmacy services in the CV ICU and Medical ICU2, ensuring optimal medication management for critically ill patients. The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and active participation in patient care rounds using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Level 1 trauma critical care or clinical pharmacist experience
• Experience providing clinical pharmacy services in critical care environments such as CV ICU or medical ICU
• PGY-2 residency preferred but not required
• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Louisiana (license in-hand)
• Board Certification in specialty pharmacy areas is preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system is required
• Willingness to travel; first-time travelers are welcome

Location:

• Metairie, Louisiana

Schedule:

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Every Other Week (EOW) schedule
