Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist - New Hartford, NY

A direct hire opportunity is available for an Inpatient Pharmacist to join a hospital setting in Utica, NY. This role focuses on delivering safe and effective medication management within the inpatient pharmacy. The pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting core pharmacy operations, emphasizing accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications, ensuring proper dosing, labeling, and control of IV and controlled substances
• Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, and other medication-related concerns
• Provide timely and accurate drug information to healthcare providers to support clinical decision-making
• Prepare sterile compounded products including IV admixtures in accordance with USP standards
• Maintain medication inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold cleanliness within the pharmacy environment
• Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives as assigned

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of New York
• PGY1 residency trained or possess strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, sterile compounding standards, and medication safety principles
