An opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacist to contribute to inpatient pharmacy services within a hospital setting. This direct hire position is based in Utica, NY, working primarily during day and afternoon shifts. The role centers on ensuring the safe and effective use of medications to support patient care while maintaining compliance with patient safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense medications accurately, including proper dosing, labeling, and handling of IV and controlled substances
  • Monitor patient medication profiles for potential interactions, allergies, and discrepancies, resolving issues proactively
  • Provide timely and evidence-based drug information to healthcare providers to support clinical decision-making
  • Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures following USP guidelines to meet patient needs safely
  • Manage pharmacy operations including inventory control, regulatory compliance, and maintaining an organized and clean workspace
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid NY Pharmacist License
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or demonstrated strong inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
