A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care / Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity starting June 2. This role offers valuable experience in a fast-paced hospital setting, focusing on transplant and clinical pharmacy.

Work Schedule:

  • Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy support with emphasis on transplant patients
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy in critical care settings
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records to document and communicate patient care
  • Assist in medication management and patient counseling specific to solid organ transplant needs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year transplant pharmacy experience preferred
  • PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant residency preferred; PGY-1 with transplant support experience considered
  • Active Louisiana pharmacist license
  • Board certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong knowledge of hospital and emergency room pharmacy operations
