A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking two experienced Transplant/Clinical Pharmacist Specialists for a 13-week contract assignment starting Monday, May 4. This opportunity involves working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a weekend rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services focused on solid organ transplantation
- Collaborate with the transplant team to optimize medication therapy for transplant patients
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and medication management
- Participate in patient care rounds to assess and monitor therapy effectiveness and safety
- Support drug protocol development and medication education for healthcare staff and patients
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year transplant-related clinical pharmacy experience
- PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant residency preferred; however, candidates with PGY-1 residency plus transplant support experience are encouraged to apply
- Active Louisiana pharmacy license required
- Board certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
