Clinical Pharmacist - Newark, DE

This opportunity is for a Clinical Pharmacist in a specialty compounding pharmacy focused on bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. The role involves working under the Pharmacy Supervisor, collaborating closely with Sterile and Non-Sterile Production teams to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations concerning sterile and non-sterile compounded medications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations are accurate and adhere strictly to master formula worksheets.
• Implement and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to guarantee patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines in compounding practices.
• Oversee cleaning and garbing protocols according to company standards.
• Perform necessary calculations, documentation, and operate production equipment correctly.
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques and thoroughly prepare work areas before production.
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medication accuracy.
• Monitor technical and computerized equipment to ensure quality standards.
• Stay current on new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies through ongoing professional development.
• Provide patient care and counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania (PA).
• Recent pharmacy experience with a background in sterile compounding is required.
• Open to new graduates who meet licensure and training requirements.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm (shift assignment may vary).
