A clinical pharmacist position is available at a specialty compounding pharmacy dedicated to creating personalized pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs. This role involves collaborating with sterile and non-sterile production teams to ensure strict adherence to state and federal regulations governing compounded medications.

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Assignment Term: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accuracy and compliance of sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations against master formula worksheets.
  • Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies to maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines for compounding.
  • Monitor proper cleaning and garbing protocols as per company standards.
  • Perform necessary calculations, complete thorough documentation, and accurately operate production equipment.
  • Apply correct aseptic techniques and prepare work areas before production.
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify medication quality, purity, and potency.
  • Stay updated on new compounding methodologies, formulations, and technology advancements through continuous professional development.

Shift Options:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned)

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active PA Pharmacist license required
  • Recent pharmacy experience, including background in sterile compounding
  • Open to new graduates eager to gain specialized compounding expertise

This contract to hire opportunity offers competitive compensation starting at $60-$65 per hour based on experience, with new graduates considered at approximately $55 per hour.
