Exciting opportunity to join a growing community healthcare organization as it launches a brand-new onsite pharmacy in Newark, NJ this August. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position offering the chance to help build pharmacy operations from the ground up while serving a diverse and underserved patient population.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, and potential side effects
  • Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Support pharmacy workflow and supervise pharmacy technicians as needed
  • Assist with inventory management and medication procurement
  • Utilize MicroMerchant / PrimeRx pharmacy systems
  • Contribute to the successful launch and growth of a new community pharmacy

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey Pharmacist license required
  • 1+ years of community pharmacy experience required
  • Full-time availability required
  • Strong patient counseling and communication skills
  • FQHC and/or 340B experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
  • Experience with MicroMerchant or PrimeRx preferred

Schedule:

  • Monday - Saturday
  • Pharmacy hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Full-time schedule
  • August start
  • Contract-to-hire opportunity

Compensation for this position ranges from $50.00 to $64.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
