Clinical Pharmacist in Niles, MI

A hospital in the Elkhart, IN area, near South Bend, is seeking two inpatient pharmacists for a 13-week contract beginning June 1. This role requires strong clinical and technical skills within an inpatient pharmacy setting to ensure accurate medication distribution and patient care.

Schedule Options:

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager order verification system.
• Manage inpatient pharmacy distribution services including medication dispensing and IV room preparation.
• Handle hospital-based medications, including IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes.
• Utilize Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems proficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience with Cerner EMR, specifically Cerner Meds Manager order verification, is essential.
• Familiarity with inpatient hospital pharmacy workflows, IV room preparation, and medication management.
• New graduates are welcome if they have Cerner order verification experience.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
