Night Pharmacist

ASAP travel opportunity for an experienced inpatient pharmacist! 

Join a 120-bed Level III Trauma Center on a 7on/7off overnight schedule with pharmacy technician support throughout the night. This is a great fit for a pharmacist who enjoys a mix of clinical and operational responsibilities.

Position Details

• Start: ASAP
• Assignment: 13 weeks+
• Schedule: 7on/7off
• Hours: 8:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Rotation: Wednesday–Tuesday
• Technology: EPIC, Pyxis
• Overnight support: Pharmacy technician works alongside the pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Validate medication orders and ensure appropriate therapy
• Perform kinetic dosing and pharmacokinetic monitoring
• Verify medications prior to distribution
• Answer medication-related questions from nursing staff
• Oversee overnight medication compounding
• Fill outpatient prescriptions for ED patients during overnight hours
• Support safe and efficient pharmacy operations throughout the night

Requirements

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist License required
• 1+ year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• EPIC experience required; training available for candidates without prior EPIC experience
• Comfortable working independently on an overnight shift
• Strong clinical and medication verification skills
• Ability to work a 7on/7off schedule
