An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient clinical pharmacist to support patient care at a regional medical center. This 13-week contract assignment begins Tuesday, May 26, and offers rotating shifts to provide comprehensive pharmacy coverage.
Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, managing IV therapies, pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotics, and monitoring drug interactions. Proficiency in order entry and use of EPIC electronic medical records is essential to ensure accurate and efficient medication management. The role also supports chemotherapy protocols, anticoagulant therapies, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing—preferred but not mandatory.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience required
- IV therapy management and pain control analgesia expertise
- Strong knowledge of antibiotics and drug interaction monitoring
- Experience with order verification and medication order entry
- EPIC electronic medical records experience (required)
- Preferred experience with chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing
- Previous travel pharmacy assignments advantageous
