This opportunity offers the role of a Clinical Pharmacist providing crucial inpatient care at a hospital setting in Norman, OK. The position requires consistent PRN coverage, approximately 3 to 4 times per week, with weekday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of two pharmacists and two pharmacy technicians to deliver quality pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general inpatient pharmacy duties including order verification and medication dispensing
  • Provide pharmacist oversight and support for pharmacy technicians
  • Collaborate directly with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services as needed to support high patient acuity (census around 40)
  • Utilize WellSky pharmacy management system and Pyxis automation for efficient workflow

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license required
  • Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied PRN shifts and provide on-call support (24/7 coverage preferred)
  • Strong team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced, high-acuity inpatient environment

Schedule Details:

  • PRN coverage 3-4 times per week
  • Weekday hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Weekend hours: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • On-call availability is a plus to support 24/7 pharmacy coverage
